American Red Cross Fat Tire Classic June 27th – 29th, 2008

Sunday - Joe Bonamassa, Jimmy Hall with Tommy Shannon, George Rains, Ronnie Fruge; Deanna Bogart, Larry Garner, Jason Ricci, And Zak Harmon
Fraser Valley Fourth of July Celebration Live music by Kort McCumberland & McCumberland Gap, kid's games, horseshoe tournament, and picnic. Followed up, of course, with a spectacular fireworks display.
Run for Independence July 5th, 2008 A five mile course for runners, walkers and stoller-pushers through the beautiful Fraser Valley! Proceeds benefit the Scott Hughes Endowment fund for scholarships for children on kidney dialysis.
La Vita e' Bella Italian Festival July 11th - 13th, 2008 first annual event! A three-day festival with an authentic Italian Circus. There will be a central piazza, food, wine, exhibitors, artisans and entertainment.
Winter Park Jazz Festival July 26th and 27th, 2008
Line-up TBA. 2007 entertainers include: Dave Koz, Doc Powell, Kelly Sweet, Jazz Attack (with Rick Braun, Jonathan Butler, Richard Elliot, and Peter White), and Mindi Abair.
Winter Park Arts Week July 26th - August 2nd, 2008 This week-long event celebrates the beauty of Grand County through the visual arts. Painting demonstrations, artist workshops and competitions.
Crankworx / Mountain Bike Capital USA July 31st - August 2nd, 2008 Crankworx returns from Whistler Blackcomb to Colorado, featuring four days of races with the best free-ride mountain bikers in the country.
Grand County Parade of Homes August 2nd and 3rd and August 9th and 10th, 2008 Tour some of the most beautiful homes in the valley!
Fraser River Days August 9th and 10th, 2008 Guided interpretive hikes, environmental education seminars, free fly-fishing lessons, trail projects, as well as live music and a lumberjack show.
Salute to American Veterans Rally & Festival August 15th - 17th, 2008 The POW/MIA commemorative motorcylcle ride returns to Winter Park for the 2nd year. Nearly 1,000 motorcylcles participates in the ride in 2007, which has a 20-year history (previously held in Cripple Creek). There will also be the traveling Vietnam Wall, a military parade, military guest speakers, live music and flyovers.
