Do you have a big family or multiple families wanting to stay together at Winter Park? This is the perfect spot. Located on the slopes just behind the Iron Horse Resort and 1/4 mile from the base village at Winter Park, Base Camp offers huge living spaces and high end decor. Check out Base Camp 472 in the video above!
Call 1-877-329-1383 or info@wplbo.com to book your Winter Park vacation at Base Camp on Jane Creek.
Stay at the lake this summer AND in downtown Winter Park. This 3 bedroom town home is situated on a beautiful mountain lake but also within a stone’s throw to Hernando’s Pizza and the Sushi Bar in town. Take a video tour of the outside, living area, and views above. Guests often see moose drinking from the lake or just cruising around the area.
Call 1-877-329-1383 or email us at info@wplbo.com to book. It’s a summer favorite!
Thought you may be interested in seeing Winter Park in May. Check out our driving tour of downtown Winter Park! Our office is towards the end of the video (and the highway) on the left.
In the Alice in Wonderland area of the resort (accessed by Looking Glass and Prospector Lifts), there is a run called “Jack Kendrick” which actually was a guy that pioneered the first powered rope tow in 1937 on Berthoud Pass.
On the left side of the run are beginner jumps even though they look massive when you ski up to them. Here is a video of me trying them out with my nephews. Sorry for the screams. They look scary as you approach!
I was sworn to secrecy about the Buckaroo Trees, but if you look at a Winter Park trail map, you’ll figure it out. They are easy trees to do – even for a-bit-better-than-intermediate skiers like me.
There are a bunch of slash piles in there (which is why they are “easy trees” – several have been removed) and they made for great jumps into the powder. Check out this one of Chris and our nephews in March.
