Ski Biking…the new rage? or just a fad?

I really don’t have a lot of knowledge on this one but wanted to warn everyone – there are BIKES on the ski hill these days. Yesterday, I encountered a swarm of these guys on Cranmer…on bikes! I know Winter Park is known for mountain biking, but this is a bit bizarre.
You can rent these at the base apparently – looks a little scary but fun. I’ll try it and let you know. For now, wanted you to see the photo I caught – it was sort of like BigFoot – did I really just see a biker go by me on the slopes?
Indeed, I did.

Yeah, we were out having fun that day. That looks like David on the bike. The bikes are built in Ft. Lupton by a downhill mountain bike builder. You do have to take a lesson before you can rent one of these bikes on your own. Once you have your ski bike license – you are free to come back and rent anytime.
