Summer 2008 brings two major events back to Winter Park!
The Fox 106.3 Hawgfest returns after
a two year hiatus with great rock'n'roll and lots of motorcycles. Ted Nugent and Cinderella
will be here, as well as many other great artists, to rock in the Colorado Rockies! The same weekend will also host the
Salute to American Veterans Rally, with a huge commemorative motorcycle rally, the traveling Vietnam Memorial
Wall, flyovers and military guest speakers. Winter Park Lodging by Owner will give a 10% military discount to
active and retired military personnel.
Another event to return to Winter Park is the American Red Cross Fat Tire Classic, which took a break in 2007. This
event is a 17 year tradition in Winter Park that benefits the Mile Hi Chapter of the American Red Cross and now also benefits
the National Sports Center for the Disabled. Mountain bikers and hikers of all ages and abilities can participate in this
fun event.
