Ski Train
August 2nd, 2008
Catch a ride on the Summer Ski Train for an easy day trip to Winter Park. Trains depart Denver’s Union Station each Saturday morning starting June 21st through August 23rd, 2008, and return to Denver in the evening. Family Plaza Palooza

Hi Country Stampede Rodeo

Kick the city off your shoes at "the best little rodeo in Colorado." The Hi Country Stampede main rodeo starts at 7:00pm, and the Junior Rodeo (free) and BBQ starts at 4:00pm. There’s Bronco Bustin’, Calf Roping, Bull Riding, plus kids can even participate in Mutton Bustin! 10th Annual Doggie Drag

Salute to American Veterans Rally & Festival
August 15th - 17th, 2008
The POW/MIA commemorative motorcylcle ride returns to Winter Park for the 2nd year. Nearly 1,000 motorcylcles participates in the ride in 2007, which has a 20-year history (previously held in Cripple Creek). There will also be the traveling Vietnam Wall, a military parade, military guest speakers, live music and flyovers.
